"What I valued most in working with J.G. Rock was their commitment to working closely with us to ensure that our interests were incorporated into every phase of the design and construction of the project. The Rock team maintained close communication with us every step of the way, and gave great care to the value of the project. We always knew what costs were; they were sensitive to budget us to get the most value for our money. The result is a quality project that serves us very well."

Plainfield Park District
J.G. Rock worked in cooperation with Fry Properties and the Plainfield Park District to renovate a dilapidated stable and paddocks at the gateway to Fry’s White Ash Farms residential development in Plainfield. The new Equestrian Center features two indoor riding arenas, two outdoor riding arenas, five enlarged grass paddocks, a gathering room and a classroom. The stables include a renovated indoor wash rack. The second floor offers two renovated apartments for rent. The new, large indoor arena features a heated observation area for parents and guests.
The Park District offers group riding instruction, private lessons and summer camps for ages 5-adult in English, Western, Dressage and Hunter-Jumper as well as boarding for horses in 50 stalls. The original stable is a Morton building erected in the 1980’s and was featured on the cover of the Morton sales brochures of the time. Every effort was made to maintain the classic Morton “look” of the facility.
Renovations to the Equestrian Center provided Plainfield Park District with a profitable new recreational facility as well as creating a romantic entrance for Fry Properties’ White Ash Farm subdivision.
