J.G. Rock to Manage Construction of Grace Pointe Church in Plainfield
J.G. Rock, Inc., the construction management division of Fry Properties, Inc. in Naperville will serve as construction manager for the Grace Pointe Church Plainfield Campus planned for 14 acres at 127th Street and 248th Avenue in Plainfield. The project architect is Jaeger, Nickola and Associates of Park Ridge.
Construction will begin in September on the 27,000 square foot first phase, which includes a 400-seat contemporary worship center with theatrical components and high-tech AV. Phase I will also include a Multipurpose/Gymnasium space, Administrative Wing and connecting Atrium. Construction is expected to be complete by September of 2008.
Future plans for Grace Pointe include a 23,000 square foot multi-story Education Wing; a 3,000 square foot Chapel, Outdoor Worship Area, Athletic Fields and Pavilion. The Worship space has been designed to be expanded in the future with a 3,000 square foot balcony for a total capacity of 800 seats.
JG Rock has extensive experience working with public bodies on the approval process, and worked with Grace Pointe and the Plainfield Plan Commission and Plainfield Village Board to gain unanimous approval of the project.
