Fry Announces Office Project, Corporate Headquarters in South Naperville
The Fry Group of Companies, land development and construction group located in the Naperville/Plainfield area, has secured approval for the construction of an office facility, at 2244 West 95th Street, west of Book Road in the highly desirable southwest Naperville Route 59 business corridor. The first phase of the project includes a three-story, 58,000 square foot office building facing 95th Street as well as adjacent parking and landscape. A second two-story office building is planned for the future, south of the first building. The Fry Group of Companies plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to the building, scheduled to break ground on or about October 1, 2005. The Fry Group of Companies includes Fry Properties, Inc., developers of residential communities and residential homebuilders; and J.G. Rock, Inc., specialists in commercial construction management. J.G Rock will manage construction on the project. The architect is Jaeger Nickola & Associates of Park Ridge.
The office building will be constructed with a brick and glass edifice with stone accents. Features of the smoke-free building include a first floor Atrium Lobby, designated loading areas, a vending court, two elevators, ample parking, all in a park-like setting with an exterior dining area. “This high-quality building in a prime location in Naperville’s southern corridor offers a unique opportunity for businesspeople to work near their homes and still enjoy all the commercial advantages of a burgeoning business area,” says Gordon Fry, President of Fry Properties. “The building is located between I-88 and I-55 along Route 59, and is immediately adjacent to the facilities of the 95th treet Family YMCA, the Naperville Public Library and a number of retail and restaurant facilities.
In addition to the Fry Group, The 95th Street Family YMCA has leased 8,146 square feet of the first floor for a new day care facility for infants through pre-schoolers. Executive Director Doug Britt sees the fit as a win-win situation. “I think it makes perfect sense to locate this center here so we can incorporate the advantages of the Y next door, including swim lessons, language enrichment and gymnastics. I think it also provides a great selling point to the office building.” Fry agrees. “We are especially excited that parents working in this building and throughout the area can have their children in a safe, caring environment. It makes it easier for families to balance children, home and work.” he says. Occupancy is expected in June 2006.
